Tenured or Tenure-track Faculty Position

The University of California, Berkeley, seeks applicants at all levels for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology within the College of Natural Resources. This position represents an exciting opportunity to join a fully funded program with the Energy Biosciences Institute (EBI). Of particular interest are persons whose research includes biochemistry of cell wall synthesis and lignin structure and degradation; however, creative and energetic individuals who show extraordinary promise or accomplishment in areas relevant to the EBI will be considered. We require a Ph.D. and evidence of outstanding scholarship within a relevant discipline. Start-up and research funds will be provided by the EBI. This position is tenured or tenure-tracked in the Department of Plant and Microbial Biology and is an excellent opportunity to launch, sustain, or crown an academic career. This position could start as early as January 1, 2009.
