The Department’s
PMB Seminar Series and
Microbial Biology Seminar Series
bring prominent scientists to the Department and the community at large.
These talks expose students to a wide
array of research areas and methodologies, allowing them to focus their
interests and plan their careers. On other afternoons post-doctoral
researchers in the Department present their current research in informal
seminars. As well as providing an opportunity to learn about the diversity
of research in the many laboratories in the Department, these seminars
serve as a forum for discussing important discoveries and developing ideas.
Postdocs and graduate students organize
groups, the Photosynthesis
Journal Club and the Leaf Meeting, to discuss cutting-edge work.
